CHARLIE

Charlie is a DSH neutered male, estimated to be born in 2020.

At the end of August 2023, we noticed a new cat on one of our regular feeding routes that appeared to be in really rough shape. His jaw looked broken, he was missing his right eye, and he was struggling to breathe with a very snotty nose that suggested a serious case of cat flu. Determined to not leave him to suffer on the streets, we immediately launched a fundraiser for his medical care which allowed us to quickly get Charlie to the vet. At the vet, Charlie's jaw was confirmed broken and was subsequently repaired. We also started treatment for his cat flu, which is now so much better! We were also able to close the hole where his eye was, preventing any further pain and infection in the area.

Currently, we are fundraising for Charlie's upcoming medical bills:

  • To complete his jaw repair, we will remove the wire currently holding the broken pieces of jaw together.

  • He will receive a full vaccination course which has currently been postponed until after Charlie's other treatments are completed.

Charlie is a very sweet and friendly cat. He always sits so patiently when he sees us coming, politely waiting for his dinner to be served. From day one, Charlie has always welcomed affection from humans. He loves to scarf down his dinner as quickly as possible so that he can get cozy with a full belly and receive lots and lots of pets.

Charlie will be re-released following the completion of his medical care. That does not mean that he is not eligible for adoption! We have seen how he behaves indoors and we are positive that he would make a wonderful housecat! If you are interested in adopting Charlie, please just send us a message.
