Hajar started her work in Rabat ten years ago when she noticed her neighborhood's stray cats and dogs suffering with nobody coming to their aid. She knew she could not just sit back and do nothing. Hajar was determined to help all of Rabat's animals in need and make their lives less difficult.

Currently, Hajar takes care of around 250 street cats each day, as well as 50 dogs and puppies. Additionally, she shelters over 30 cats in her home, most of which are handicapped cats, sick cats, or orphaned kittens. This care includes feeding, providing spay and neuter, and providing medical treatment for both the strays and the shelter cats. Thus, all of the animals shown on our website have been rescued and cared for by Hajar personally.

Hajar dedicates her all-day-every-day to Rabat's animals. The feeding tours take around 3-5 hours, as they are done by foot. Moreover, the care of the shelter cats, including feeding, cleaning, and medicating, takes an additional 3 hours per day.

Crazy Cat Lady Rescues depends on the kindness of others. Hajar does the physical labor of the cleaning and the food tours by herself. However, for each drive to the vet, and the cost each bag of food and every medication, she needs our help.
