MAMU

Mamu is a DSH female, estimated to have been born at the end of July, 2023. She is currently a resident of our shelter.

We found Mamu sitting alone in the middle of the sidewalk during one of our regular feeding tours. She was a very small and young kitten at the time who was so sick that we were almost certain that she would not survive the night. However, we took her in, put her under treatment for cat flu, and crossed our fingers that she would get better. It was an uphill battle, but Mamu was a fighter and ended up pulling through!

Mamu has changed so much since she first arrived to the shelter. Initially, she was a very quiet and calm kitten who only wanted to be held 24/7. These days, Mamu is a mischievous little kitten who is so full of energy! She spends her entire day looking for ways to cause trouble. She likes to wrestle, scream, parkour around the rescue, and steal things to play with that she shouldn't. Finally, when she is completely exhausted and ready for a nap, she will gently and sweetly make her way to the nearest human or sleeping kitten and ask to cuddle until she falls asleep.

Mamu loves absolutely everyone and would do best in a home with another kitten or young cat to play with. Her best friend in the shelter is Ma Nzele.
