CORPORAL

Corporal is a DSH male, estimated to be born in July, 2023. He is currently a resident of our shelter.

Corporal and his sister, Sunshine, come from an area of town that is very dangerous for kittens. Most kittens born in that area do not survive to adulthood, and those that do survive are often hit by cars. We had been feeding Corporal and Sunshine for quite a while and noticed that they were both becoming quite ill and progressively getting sicker by the day. We knew that they would not last much longer if we did not intervene, especially Corporal who was significantly sicker than Sunshine. When we finally decided to take them in, they were both suddenly nowhere to be found. Eventually, we found Corporal in really bad shape and immediately rushed him to the vet for medical care. However, Sunshine was still missing. We went out every day looking for her, but never seemed to have any luck. It wasn't until we were just about to give up that we finally found her and were able to reunite the siblings!

Corporal was given a name that suits his personality quite well. While many of the kittens that come into our shelter are quite shy and nervous at first, Corporal was the opposite -- he immediately came in and started to boss everyone around. We like to say that he acts like a big, unneutered tom cat trapped in a tiny little kitten body. He gets along well with the other kittens, loves to play and loves to cuddle, but if anyone dares to get between him and his food there will be consequences. He has no fear of humans, cats, or anything in between.

Corporal has been receiving medication for his cat flu and is progressively getting better by the day!

Corporal would do best in a home with another kitten his age to play with, especially his sister, Sunshine.
