KULUNA

Kuluna is a DSH male, estimated to be born in mid-April, 2023. He is currently a resident of our shelter.

We found Kuluna during one of our feeding tours when he was approximately 1 month old. While feeding a local cat colony, we heard cries coming from a nearby car. Inside the car's hood was Kuluna, a scared and starving little kitten who was black from the car's soot. Knowing he was way too young to be left on his own in the streets, we put our feeding tour on hold to get him out of the car. It took a long time to coax him out, but we eventually got him back to our shelter, gave him a good clean, and set down a big bowl of food to last him the night. However, clearly starving, Kuluna ate the entire whole bowl in one sitting! Though very scared, he was so happy to have a warm bed and a full belly.

Kuluna has kept his appetite since his first night at our shelter and he's growing so fast! We think he's going to be a pretty big boy when he's fully grown. Though occasionally still skittish, Kuluna is becoming more confident every day. Like a typical kitten, he loves chasing his feather toys around all day long. What he loves more though is being with his adoptive sister, Ma Nzele. When Kuluna isn't eating or wrestling his feather toy, you’ll find him snuggled up to Ma Nzele.

Kuluna would do well in a home with another cat his age to play with. While not necessary, Kuluna would love to be rehomed with his sister, Ma Nzele!
