MALIKA

Malika is a DSH female, estimated to have been born at the end of June, 2023. She is currently a resident of our shelter.

We found Malika as a kitten in the middle of tram tracks, where she was crying out and following every person that walked by. We initially scooped her up and put her back to a safe place, but every day we would see her back on the tracks again doing the same thing. Unfortunately, it is not uncommon for kittens to get struck by these trams. So, to keep Malika safe, we decided she had to be taken into the shelter.

Malika is a very beautiful and unique looking cat. While she does get along well with people and other cats, she still has a bit of a wild spirit. We like to think she has more lion or tiger genes left than most cats. Malika looooves to talk with anyone who will listen and immediately starts meowing away whenever someone walks in the room, almost like she is telling them about every detail of her day. She is also the best biscuit maker in the shelter (see video below)!

Malika is a playful cat that would do best with another cat to play with. She could be rehomed as an only cat as long as her adopter had enough time to spend playing with her and listening to her talk.
