LAYLA

Layla is a DSH female, thought to have been born in June 2020.

Layla was found alone on the streets without a mother during one of our feeding tours. Unfortunately, her mother never came back. Layla was too small to survive on her own, so she was taken into our care.

Layla was a very sweet and affectionate kitten, who had an extremely calm nature. She loved everyone, people and other cats alike. She would do well in any type of home, and could likely be rehomed even with small children due to her peaceful nature.

Update, December 12trh, 2022: As Layla has grown up, her personality has really shown through! Not only does Layla love attention, but she demands it. If a human walks into her room, no matter who it is, she will follow them around and yell at them until they pay attention to her. She has even been known to grab faces and redirect them back to her if someone tries to stop petting her.

Layla is one of those souls that just gets along with everyone. She has been friends with every cat and every human that has ever been in our shelter. Everybody loves her! As long as there is someone in your home to pay lots of attention to her, she will do great.

What volunteers at our shelter have to say about Layla:

  • "She's really sweet- loves attention and pets."

  • "She is so funny. Layla always has a look on her face like somebody just told her their deepest, darkest secret."

Layla is currently one of our many cats suffering from cat flu, though her is a more mild case. Consequently, she would need to be quarantined from other cats in your home for a short time after adoption.
