ROMEO

Romeo is a DSH male, estimated to be born in 2018.

Romeo was previously one of the strays that lived on the same street as our shelter, so we would feed him and see him very often. One night, we saw Romeo in a garden with three men surrounding him. He was seizing, and the three men were trying to help. Unfortunately, Romeo had been poisoned and was quickly dying. Hajar stayed with him outside for hours trying to treat his poison. He showed some signs of hope, so she took him inside to the shelter and continued to sit with and treat him through the night. Thankfully, Romeo made a full recovery.

When we first took him in, Romeo was unable to be touched, but liked to sneakily watch Hajar throughout the day. Now, he is a completely different cat. He loves cuddles and loves being close to his humans. You would never know that he was feral not too long ago.

Romeo is blind in one eye, but that does not impair his ability to function normally. He was able to survive that way as a stray for years.

Romeo can be rehomed as a single cat, or in a multi-cat household.
